Love Letter To The Ferrell Housewife
To The Ferrell Housewife...
You are enough.
You are not the typical cookie cutter stay at home Becky Home-Ecky. You lead your home with a wild passion for life and experiences. You do not have a single desire in your entire body to mop the floors and scrub the stains out of the rugs. To you, those are not stains, those are memories. To you, a stain is a badge of honor with purpose and meaning and a story to tell. Why would you wash that away?....
You allow your kids to explore the world around you because you still believe in the magic and wonder of mother nature and all her glory.
You treat childhood as a journey to endless possibilities instead of the beginning of the end.
You believe in giving people 2nd 3rd and 45th chances because you yourself believe that people deserve an abundance of chances to become the best version of themselves because that's how many chances you were given and are still taking.
You believe life is perfectly fine with dust. Dust is a mundane conversion to have when we could be talking about books, food, adventures, love, and plants.
Your house is full of warm hearts, warm blankets, and warm beds for anyone and everyone who will look past the sink full of dishes.
In your house, judgment lives tucked away in the attic along with all the old things of yesteryear that we no longer use or acknowledge because there is just no room for it in your home.
To you, a house is a house... but mixed match furniture, comfy recliner, and your grandmother's mixing bowls are home and you can take that anywhere.
Yes! There is some yelling and there is some fighting because love is worth being loud about and fighting for but you are not ashamed because you taught your family about healthy fighting and healthy communication.
Thank you to the Ferrell Housewife.
You are enough.
Love always,
A fellow Ferrell Housewife
Lila Taylor
