Mullein Gummies Recipe by Becca Harris
Mullein Gummies Recipe:
*These gummies in the photo are dark because Becca makes her own blueberry juice and added that to give the gummies a good flavor. You can add any juice you want to add flavor.
Ingredients:
• 2 cups strong mullein tea (made from dried mullein leaves and/or flowers)
• ¼ cup honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
• 3 tbsp gelatin (or 4 tbsp agar powder for a vegan version)
• 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, for flavor and extra vitamin C)
• ½ tsp ginger powder (optional, for added immune support)
Instructions:
1. Make the Mullein Tea:
• Steep 2 tbsp of dried mullein leaves and flowers in 2.5 cups of hot water for 15–20 minutes.
• Strain the tea using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove the tiny hairs.
• Measure out 2 cups of the tea for the recipe.
2. Dissolve the Gelatin or Agar:
• In a small pot, add the strained mullein tea and heat on low.
• Slowly sprinkle in the gelatin (or agar) while whisking constantly to prevent clumping.
• Continue whisking over low heat until fully dissolved (about 3–5 minutes).
3. Add Sweetener and Flavorings:
• Stir in honey (or maple syrup), lemon juice, and ginger powder if using.
4. Pour into Molds:
• Remove from heat and carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or a shallow dish lined with parchment paper.
5. Set and Store:
• Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm.
• Once set, remove from molds (or cut into small squares if using a dish).
6. Storage:
• Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Dosage: Eat 1–2 gummies per day for respiratory support.
